Cabinet ministers to meet in Kirkwall
Scotland’s First Minister Alex Salmond is appealing for people in Orkney to turn out for a public meeting with cabinet ministers in the county next week.
Ministers are due to visit the county on Tuesday and Wednesday next week (August 28 and 29), as part of their fifth consecutive year of summer cabinet programmes outside Edinburgh.
In addition to the formal meetings, the cabinet will hold an open meeting in the King Street Halls, where ministers will be on hand to answer questions on any aspect of the Scottish Government’s work, on Wednesday from 12.30 pm – 2.30 pm.
Attendance is free but spaces are limited, so the Scottish Government has asked that those who wish to attend register here.
