Catch the midwinter solstice at Maeshowe

Today, December 21, is the midwinter solstice, and again this year the sunset at Maeshowe will be broadcast live over the internet.

After technical problems earlier in the month, the webcams are back in action, ready to catch the light from the last dying rays of the setting sun strikes the back wall of the 5,000-year-old tomb’s main chamber.
