Children’s House delay

The new Children’s House at Watersfield, Kirkwall, has been delayed by six months.

According to a report considered by the partnership board of Orkney Health and Care yesterday, Thursday, the delays are a result of staff changes and technical assessments required for the overall development of the wider Watersfield site and associated road network.

The report outlined how a revised timetable will see procurement take place in April with the award of the tender in May. Work on the site is now expected to start in July and the building is scheduled for completion by April next year.
