Clydesdale mare is county’s top horse

A four-year-old Clydesdale mare took the supreme championship in the horse section at this year’s County Show.

Shown by JD & DM Smith, Holburn, Holm Branch Road, Kirkwall, Downhill Snowflake was sired by Carnaff Ambassador and out of Garleton Betty.

The reserve horse title went to the best Shetland on the day, Lyradale Jasmine, a three-year-old filly shown by Sonja Wishart of M, S and J Wishart, Westquoy, Orphir.
