Council services prepare for shift to Warehouse Buildings

The OIC’s customer services, registrar and library in Stromness will be closed next week, while office furniture, equipment and library stock are moved over to the new Warehouse Buildings.

The new facility will then open to the public on the morning of Monday, May 25.

The Warehouse Buildings will house council customer service provision, a library facility, the Stromness registrar and meeting rooms.

The buildings will open until 7pm on two nights a week  — Mondays and Thursdays — and will also open on Saturdays from 11am-5pm. Police Scotland will move into their new offices within the Warehouse Building in coming weeks.
