Cromarty Hall’s new book festival

The Cromarty Hall will celebrate host its first book festival next weekend. (Cromarty Hall Trust)

A new festival is to mark the fifth anniversary of the reopening of the Cromarty Hall, in St Margaret’s Hope.

The Cromarty Hall Trust have announced that their first ever Annual Book Festival will be held in the hall on Sunday, October 30, between 10am and 6pm. The day-long festival will give local writers, illustrators and publishers the opportunity to promote and sell their work, and to chat to their readers.

There will be exhibitions and talks by local authors, spooky storytelling sessions for the youngsters, fun quizzes and activities for all ages, and the hall’s biggest ever second-hand book sale.

Andrea Kitney from the Cromarty Hall Trust said: “If you are a writer, illustrator or publisher and would like the opportunity to be involved in the festival, please contact the organisers through Facebook, or call 831406 or 831381 for more information.”
