Eight month prison sentence for Inverness assault

A 25-year-old man who assaulted a woman at a caravan park in Inverness has been sentenced to eight months in prison.

Appearing from custody at Kirkwall Sheriff Court today, Friday, Michael Robert Scott Budge, of 36 Kirklands Road, Kirkwall, admitted pushing the woman in the face with his hand and repeatedly punching her on the body, all to her injury, on April 18.

A non-harrassment order was also granted, prohibiting Budge from having any contact with the woman for a period of two years.
