Epic sponsored walk going well

Ex-Royal Marine Richard Walker is progressing well with his major walk around numerous roads in Orkney.

On Thursday at noon he started his “Orkney Challenge” – a 146-mile walk around the coastal roads of the Orkney Mainland raising funds for the “Go Commando” charity and Papdale Parent Council’s playground development project.

Last night, Friday, he reached Kirkwall having completed the East Mainland section of the route.

With a further 66 miles to go his is now walking the West Mainland.
