Exam results due tomorrow
Secondary pupils across Orkney will receive their exam results tomorrow, Tuesday.
Those who have signed up to receive their results by text or email should receive them between 8am and 9am, with the rest getting them in the post throughout the day.
Over 600 pupils sat their exams last school term.
Graham Bevan, service improvement officer with the OIC’s education, leisure and housing service said: “Finding out the results of your school exams is a rite of passage for many and exam results day can be the most eagerly awaited and nerve-racking of a school pupil’s life. Orkney has a long tradition of good exam results and we hope that this will be continued this year. Good luck to all!”
Staff will be on hand at the schools on Tuesday to discuss results with pupils who have any concerns.
The Skills Development Scotland office on Albert Street, Kirkwall, will also be open for pupils to discuss their further education and career options.  Students can drop in to speak to an advisor or phone to make an appointment on 872460. Further information is also available on the website www.skillsdevelopmentscotland.co.uk
