Caroline Sinclair, chief officer of OHAC, will be participating in a live Facebook chat this evening.

Orkney Health and Care (OHAC) is holding a live Facebook chat tonight looking at the future of community health and social care services in Orkney.

It is an opportunity for people across Orkney to put questions to Caroline Sinclair, OHAC’s chief officer.

The live chat runs from 6-7pm tonight.

To join in go to the OIC Updates Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/OIC-Updates-155210207847669/?fref=ts) and sign up.

The online chat is one of a series of events this month to get public input into OHAC’s Strategic Commissioning Plan, which will set out how community health and social care services will be developed and delivered in future.

“It is important that people across Orkney have the chance to play their part in shaping the final version of the plan,” said Ms Sinclair.

“We want services to be responsive to the needs of people and communities across the county, and the feedback we receive will be important in helping us achieve this.”

From next week, OHAC staff will also be on hand at the four drop-in events:

  • Smiddybrae, Dounby (day centre room) on Tuesday, January 19.
  • The Warehouse Buildings, Stromness (John Rae room) on Thursday, January 21.
  • Cromarty Hall, St Margaret’s Hope (main hall) on Tuesday, January 26.
  • St Magnus Centre, Kirkwall (friends and family room) on Friday, January 29.
