Four groups benefit from cashback programme
Four youth work projects in Orkney are to benefit from £6,000 in funding from the Scottish Government’s CashBack for Communities programme.
The Orkney Youth Cafe has received £600, Orkney Islands Council awarded £1,880 for youth projects, the Sanday Parent Council have benefited to the tune of £800 and Voluntary Action Orkney have been given £2,720.
CashBack for Communities uses the ill-gotten gains of crime, recovered through the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, and invests them back into communities across the country.
