Gigs cancelled
Two visiting acts that were due perform in the county this week — Finding Albert, and Leo and Anto — have both had to postpone their Orkney dates.
Finding Albert will be unable to perform on Saturday night in Matchmakers, as originally planned, due to a family bereavement. Full refunds are available from Sinclair Office Supplies. The show will be rescheduled for later in the year.
Meanwhile, Saw Doctors duo, Leo and Anto have cancelled their remaining Scottish tour dates citing family illness as the reason. They were due to perform in the Sailing Club on Sunday.
A statement from the duo said: “Due to family illness, the remaining dates of the Scottish Tour by Leo Moran and Anthony Thistlethwaite of The Saw Doctors have been cancelled today (Thursday).
“Both Leo and Anto would like to apologise to their Scottish fans for any inconvenience caused by the cancellation. We are looking to reschedule the tour later on in the year which will be announced in the next couple of days.
“Current tickets will still remain valid and can be used for the rescheduled show, however refunds on tickets purchased can be made from the point of sale.”
