Hjaltland to cover Pentland Firth route during dry-dock season
NorthLink has confirmed dates and arrangements for the 2012 dry-dock season, when their three ro-ro passenger ferries will be taken out of service to undergo statutory inspection and overhaul.
The dry-dock season will cover the two-month period from January 23, until March 26, when the three vessels, mv Hamnavoe, mv Hrossey and mv Hjaltland, will each spend three weeks undergoing essential maintenance and inspection.
The dates during which individual vessels will be out of service are as follows:
- Hamnavoe: Monday 23rd January to Monday 13th February
- Hjaltland: Tuesday 14th February to Monday 5th March
- Hrossey: Tuesday 6th March to Monday 26th March
As in previous years, during the period when the Hamnavoe is out of service, the route will be covered by the Hjaltland.
