Iconic Kirkwall phone boxes removed

Work began this morning (Sunday) to remove the two red phone boxes in Kirkwall Town Centre.

The iconic structures in Broad Street, that back onto the ‘We Frame It’ shop at the foot of The Strynd, have in recent years become something of a tourist attraction to cruise liner passengers.
