Identity of body recovered from sea confirmed

Police have confirmed that the body of a man recovered 25 miles north-west of Orkney last week was that of missing fisherman Craig Reid.

A major air-and-sea search operation was launched west of Orkney on April 18, when Mr Reid, aged 25 and from the Inverness area, was reported overboard from the trawler Apollo.

The search, in gale force winds, was later called off, as there was no trace of the missing man.
