Jazz Festival kicks off

The 21st Orkney Jazz Festival kicked off this morning, Friday, with a Creole Jamboree.

Sessions will be taking place in The Stromness Hotel across the weekend, with this year’s line up including performances from Diplomats of Jazz, Bill Salmond’s Louisiana Ragtime Band, and the Tony Lee Trio.

The festival is due conclude with a closing session by all performers this Sunday, April 23.
