35 hours per week
(the pattern of hours worked is subject to negotiation).
Initially contracted to 31st March 2026.
Salary: £24,897 per annum, plus £2,397 Islands Allowance, £783 Essential Car Users Allowance and 8% pension contribution.

Orkney CAB is looking for a full-time Benefits Adviser to join our experienced welfare benefits team. The post holder will provide face-to-face and telephone information and advice, assist with the completion of benefit application forms and represent clients at tribunal.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communication, computer and administration skills. Knowledge of the civil justice system, welfare benefits and debt legislation would be beneficial but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
