Dispatch Operative

Contract: full-time, permanent     •     Pay: £25,272 – £27,144 PA

Schedule: 36hrs pw Tue-Fri 7am-3pm and Sat 8am-12 noon

Donaldsons are seeking a dispatch operative to manage orders and deliveries from our branch in Kirkwall.

The successful candidate will handle local deliveries around Orkney; a full and clean driver’s licence is essential.

In addition to working directly with staff at various levels, you will play a key role as one of our customer liaison representatives and will be well presented, with excellent interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude.

You will eventually manage order processing, raising customer invoices and processing transactions; you must be numerate and computer literate.

Other duties include, supply procurement; equipment maintenance; and maintaining a clean working environment. The successful applicant will be organised with good timekeeping and be able to manage a busy and changeable work schedule.
