KGS appoints interim headteacher

Gordon McDonald, a depute headteacher at Kirkwall Grammar School, has been appointed acting headteacher for the school and will take up the temporary post in August 2014, when current head Sheila Dick retires.

Mr McDonald joined Kirkwall Grammar School in November 2011  and will continue in the post of acting headteacher until a permanent appointment is made.

The head teacher post will be readvertised in spring 2015.
