Kirkwall Lifeboat assists injured crewman on fish farm boat

Kirkwall Lifeboat Margaret Foster was launched at 1.46pm yesterday, Monday, to assist an injured crewman on a fish farm boat.

The man, who injured his hand while working in the engine room of the Fear Not, was taken from Isbister Bay in Rendall to Kirkwall Harbour where he was transferred to the care of the ambulance service.

This was Kirkwall Lifeboat’s 15th launch this year.
