Kirkwall Lifeboat launched

Kirkwall Lifeboat was launched on Tuesday night after a report of a red flare being sighted in the Copinsay area.

The Margaret Foster  left Kirkwall just before 8.30 pm and carried out a full search of the area, however nothing was found.

The lifeboat returned to Kirkwall just before 11 pm.
