Can Thorfinn replicate last year's Jolly Cup success?
Can Thorfinn replicate last year’s Jolly Cup success?

Thorfinn and Rovers face each other for the last piece of silverware of the 2015 football season tonight as the Kirkwall rivals go head-to-head for the Jolly Cup. Defending champions, Thorfinn, will be hoping to get their hands on their first ‘A’ League silverware this season while Rovers will be hoping to add to the ‘A’ League title they won comfortably, although judging by this season’s results, Thorfinn have a tough task.

Rovers have held the upper hand over their rivals so far this season with a 100% record in the three matches they have played — coming out on top 3-1 and 2-1 in both ‘A’ League fixtures while they also met in the Heddle Cup with Rovers winning comfortably 4-0.

Rovers have been in impressive form to reach the final, beating Rendall 5-0 before seeing off Stromness 5-3. Thorfinn, meanwhile, beat Hotspurs 5-1 after extra time.

The final is due to kick off at 5:45pm at Pickaquoy Infield.
