Kirkwall Town Hall consultation nearing end
There is just over one week left for anyone wishing to comment on the possibility that the Kirkwall Town Hall and community centre be used to house Voluntary Action Orkney and other voluntary organisations.
According to the OIC, just under 850 people have taken part in the consultation to date and the closing date is Monday, July 30.
Karen Greaves, OIC’s head of leisure and lifelong learning, said: “It is important to stress that no decisions have been taken by either the council or Voluntary Action Orkney. Both organisations are keen to hear the views of the public and will consider carefully all comments and ideas received through the consultation.”
The survey can be completed online at www.surveymonkey.com/s/kirkwalltownhall .
Paper copies can be picked up from the Town Hall, OIC Customer Services and VAO’s offices in Anchor Buildings, Kirkwall.
