Last chance to take ferry fares survey
Orkney Islands Council is urging people to give their views on ways to reduce ferry fares on Northern Isles routes – with one day to go before an online survey closes.
The survey is being run by consultants on behalf of Transport Scotland and follows a commitment made by the Scottish Government to cut fares on routes linking Orkney, Shetland and mainland Scotland.
James Stockan, Chair of the Council’s Development and Infrastructure Committee, said: “Please complete the survey if you haven’t already. This is vitally important for Orkney and could have a significant impact on the fares charged on these lifeline routes.”

The online survey runs until tomorrow, Friday, October 14.
