Man charged following Harray drug seizure
Police have seized a five-figure sum of drugs following a proactive operation in the Harray area.
Around 2.25pm on Thursday, December 23, a warrant was executed at a property on Grimeston Road. A quantity of cocaine was recovered, with an estimated total street value of over £19,000.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the recovery. He has been released on undertaking to appear in court at a later date.
Detective Sergeant Marcus Shearer, of Kirkwall CID, said: “Drug misuse brings nothing but misery to our communities and I want to reassure the public that we will continue to use every tool and tactic at our disposal to remove these illegal substances from our streets.
