Nature festival kicks off tomorrow
Orkney’s fifth annual nature festival begins tomorrow, with a bumper line of events planned to celebrate the county’s flora and fauna.
The event is coordinated by the local RSPB team, who have said this year’s highlights include bike riding on Shapinsay, snorkelling and scuba diving, poetry and songwriting workshops, as well as the wildlife watching synonymous with the festival.
In keeping with tradition, the final event will be a wildlife cruise with NorthLink Ferries.
The festival runs until Sunday, May 21.
