Near miss for quick-thinking pilot after engine fails
A pilot’s expertise and skill, honed over a 40-year flying career, proved vital when he was forced to make an emergency landing after a “catastrophic” engine failure.
Stewart Linklater was flying his Zenair 750 single-engine aircraft over Firth last Friday when he was forced to bring the aircraft down on farmland close to Zion’s Loan — thankfully, emerging unscathed.
