Nearhouse awarded Supreme Champion title
A Shorthorn bull shown by a delighted John Lennie of J.M. Lennie & Co, Nearhouse, Tankerness, was declared Supreme Champion of the cattle section of the 130th County Show.
Mr Lennie, a first time winner of the Supreme Championship, has exhibited at the annual showcase of Orkney livestock since the 1970’s, and it was his bull, 5 year-old Pentland Emporer which took the title.
Overall reserve in the cattle lines was the Charolais champion, the 18 month-old bull Baillieston Jagger, shown by W.R. Baillie & Co, Biggings, Toab.
