New children’s house takes a step closer

The project to build a new children’s home, to replace the current aging facility, Camoran, has moved a step closer with a dedicated project team now appointed to take proposals forward.

The new build “Children’s House” will be located at Papdale Farm. The facility will be a six bed unit to accommodate four to five children and young people of various ages and needs, their visitors and staff.

Members of the Orkney Health and Care (OHAC) subcommittee will discuss a report by the project team at a meeting tomorrow, Thursday.
