NHS Orkney board chairman reappointed

John Ross Scott has been reappointed as chairman of the Orkney NHS Board.

The appointment, announced this morning, is for four years.

Mr Scott, a freelance journalist, will be paid £27,456 for a three-day week commitment.

He said: “I am delighted to be reappointed for a third term of office after going through a further open and fair appointment process. Continuity is all important as we move health services in Orkney forward into the 21st century, and having been involved in the NHS Orkney’s renaissance in recent years I am keen to progress the initiatives that have been started.”
