No new COVID cases in the last 24 hours

Orkney has not recorded any new test-positive cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, according to the latest figures released by the Scottish Government.

This follows a rise of three new cases yesterday onboard the Kirkwall-registered fishing vessel Caspian K. The boat is now tied up at Kirkwall pier and the crew are self-isolating.

The number of test-positive cases recorded in Orkney since the start of the pandemic in March 2020 is 56.

NHS Orkney continue to urge people to follow the FACTS guidance.

Anyone experiencing COVID symptoms of a temperature, a new and continuous cough, and loss of taste or sense of smell should contact the COVID Assessment Centre for a test. The number to call is 888211.
