OIC pothole compensation bill lowest in Scotland
Orkney Islands Council has paid out the least amount of compensation of any Scottish council over the last five years, to motorists whose vehicles have been damaged by potholes.
The local authority only had to shell out £165 — compared to Glasgow City Council, who had to foot a bill of more than £355,530.
The pothole “league of shame” was revealed in a Freedom of Information request to authorities.
