OIC seek public’s views on services
Orkney Islands Council have today launched a public survey which they say will give people the opportunity to help shape the way their services are provided in the years ahead.
Through the survey the council are looking for feedback and ideas from across the county that will help them improve their efficiency and effectiveness.
The council have also said the survey comes in anticipation of reductions in funding from the government in the years ahead.
A team has been established to run an initiative, called the Council’s Change Programme, with which the council will assess the ideas given. The Council say they are committed to ensuring that the best of these are put into practice.
The survey , which runs until December 7, can be completed online here.
Alternatively, paper copies can be filled in and returned in a freepost envelope to the Council. These are available from OIC customer services in Kirkwall and Stromness, from libraries and library vans, on Orkney Ferries’ vessels and at Orkney College.
