Orkney RFC women host Shetland in first ever league fixture

Orkney RFC Women are set to start their first ever league campaign off tomorrow, Saturday, hosting Northern Isles rivals Shetland.

Now entered in the BT Women’s North League, the new league was created by the SRU after the game’s governing body recognised the demand for women’s rugby in the North of Scotland.

Set to compete against Shetland, Inverness Craig Dunain, and Banff, the women are to play three home game and three away games over the course of the season.

Saturday’s match is scheduled to kick-off at Pickaquoy at 11am.
