Pentalina en route to Aberdeen
MV Pentalina is making her way to Aberdeen this Sunday evening, amid speculation that she may soon return to her former duties on the Pentland Firth route.
This follows Tuesday’s grounding of mv Alfred on Swona, which has resulted in sailings between St Margaret’s Hope and Gills Bay being suspended until July 18 while damage is assessed.
Earlier this week, Pentland Ferries confirmed that it would consider using its older vessel Pentalina to cover the route if necessary.
It is understood the Pentalina’s voyage to Aberdeen is for a pre-scheduled period of drydock.
