Police appeal after cat shot

Police in Kirkwall are appealing for information after a cat was injured earlier this week. Police say they think the animal may have been shot with an air rifle.

According to police, a large ginger cat was hurt in the Orphir area on Tuesday this week, sometime between 8am and 5pm, and the injury sustained looks like it was caused by an air rifle.

Police have said the cat was not killed.
