Police appeal for information

Police in Kirkwall have put out an appeal for information following a road traffic incident which occurred last week.

Police say they are looking to hear from any witnesses who may have witnessed the road traffic collision on New Scapa Road, Kirkwall, around 4pm last Thursday, March 13.

In particular police are looking to speak with a male and a female who stopped and spoke with the driver of one of the vehicles involved.

• In another incident around 11.45 am on Wednesday, February 26, on the A965 near Stromness, damage was caused to the wing mirror of a navy Vauxhall Astra that was travelling towards Stromness.

Police would like to trace the driver of a small lorry that was in the area and travelling towards Kirkwall around that time.
