Police appeals

Police are appealing for information after goalposts were damaged in Stromness, and items were taken from an unlocked car in Kirkwall.

According to police, the goalposts at the Marwick Playing Fields behind Grieveship were “partially cut in to” sometime in the past month.

It is believed the car, parked at Castleyards, had items stolen from it sometime between 9.30pm on Saturday, and 1.30pm on Sunday.
