Police disappointed by Hallowe’en behaviour
Police have expressed their disappointment after a series of incidents across the county last night, Hallowe’en.
A spokesman said: “On the evening of Monday, October 31, several residents in Kirkwall, and other areas of Orkney, were subjected to unacceptable acts of vandalism and theft.
“Several vehicles had their tyres deflated and, on occasion, valves were stolen. Houses and people had eggs and flour thrown at them.”
He added: “Hallowe’en should be enjoyed but this year several people in our communities were inconvenienced and suffered a financial loss. This is not acceptable.”
Anyone who witnessed any of these Hallowe’en incidents is asked to contact the police station via 101.
