Police investigating unexplained death in Kirkwall

Police are currently carrying out inquiries after the sudden death of a 27-year-old woman at a Kirkwall address on Tuesday afternoon.

It is understood a 27-year-old man was taken to Balfour Hospital from the same address.

A police statement said: “Inquiries are ongoing and at an early stage. The death of the woman is currently being treated as unexplained.”
