Police seek youngster struck by car

Kirkwall police are looking to contact a boy who was struck by a car on Saturday afternoon.

The boy, believed to be eight or nine years old, was struck by a vehicle in the Meadowbank/Thoms Street area of Kirkwall around 2pm on Saturday, January 12. After the incident he ran off into Meadowbank.

Although the youngster, who was wearing a multi-coloured winter jacket, black tracksuit bottoms and a brown hat, is not believed to have been injured, police would like to identify him.
