Only pride to play for in penultimate game

With only pride to play for Orkney rugby club’s first XV will be looking to finish their league campaign on a high with two consecutive home games lined up — the first against Perthshire RFC tomorrow.

Orkney are sitting in eighth place in BT National League Division 3, and have secured their place in the league next season, while their opponents, currently in tenth place, are already relegated to the regional leagues along with Livingston and Greenock Wanderers.

Next Saturday, Orkney will play RHC RFC in their last league game before attention turns to rugby sevens.

Tomorrow’s kick-off, at Pickaquoy, is scheduled for 12pm.
