Public meetings on possible telecare charges

Members of the public are invited to share their views and ideas about the possible introduction of charges for telecare services, at two public events, to be held by Orkney Islands Council, today, Monday, November 21.

The meetings are:

At the Standing Stones Hotel, Stenness, from 2pm to 3pm
At the Pickaquoy Centre, Kirkwall, from 7pm to 8pm

Councillor Roderick McLeod, chairman of the OIC’s social services and housing committee, will be attending the meeting along with Gillian Morrison, chief social work officer, and representatives of the telecare service.
