Quality of life in Orkney improves
The quality of life in Orkney has improved — but isn’t as good as our northern neighbours in Shetland — according to a new survey.
While residents of Shetland are named top for best quality of life in Scotland, according to the annual Bank of Scotland “Quality of Life” survey for 2011, Orkney has moved up the table from sixth to fourth place.
The rankings are based on various factors, including health and life expectancy, employment and school performance.
