Renewables development manager appointed

Former Orkney Islands Council planning officer Craig MacInnes has been appointed to the newly created post of development manager for the Orkney Renewable Energy Forum.

Members of the forum include representatives of the renewable energy generators, energy experts, engineers, island development trusts, local authority representatives, environmental consultants, educational and research establishments , construction companies and members of the public.

OREF said that it was an opportune time to create the manager’s post to drive OREF forward, and further its successes in promoting the renewables sector and the associated benefits for Orkney.
