Road Closure – Carness / Weyland Bay area

Carness road, at Weyland bay has been closed by the police due to the high tide and adverse weather conditions.

The police hope this will be a temporary measure until the tide falls, but advise drivers to take note until further information is given.

The barriers have also been closed, and drivers are advised to check on updates as to when they will open again.

Sailings across the county have also been affected with sailings on routes between Houtan and Lyness cancelled, and Graemsay and Moaness also cancelled.

Other routes are under review and travellers should check ahead.
