Rugby sides defeated

Orkney’s senior rugby sides were both defeated today.

League leaders Glasgow Academicals continued their 100 per cent start to BT National League Division 3, running in ten tries in a 64-12 win over Orkney.

Orkney are currently rooted to the bottom of the table, however they host Dalziel, who are two places and two points above in tenth, next Saturday in arguably the biggest game of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Orkney RFC women lost their opening match of the North League, losing 20-5 to Inverness Craig Duncan.
