Runners all set for Hoy Half-Marathon

One of the biggest events on Orkney’s sporting calendar is due to take place today — the 28th Hoy Half-Marathon, which is set to get under way at 10.30am.
As well as the ever-popular half-marathon, this year will also see a 5k Family Fun Run taking place, replacing the quarter-marathon event.
Thomas Fay finished first in last year’s half-marathon, completing the 13.1-mile course in an impressive time of 1.12.55 — 13 minutes ahead of the second-placed finisher.
