Rural education commission in county today
A Scottish Government team will be holding a public meeting at Stromness Academy, today, Monday, to gather feedback for a nationwide study of remote and rural education.
The Commission on the Delivery of Rural Education, chaired by Sheriff David Sutherland, is tasked with examining how education in rural areas is working for local people and how this links to rural community life.
The meeting will start at 7.30pm in the academy theatre, where there will be a chance to  hear from commission members and to ask questions.
While in the county, the commission will also visit St Andrews and Stenness Primary Schools.
