Sanday school reaches final of Junior Saltire Awards

Sanday school is one step away from claiming the coveted 2014 Junior Saltire Award after seeing off competition from a record number of entries.

The school is one of nine schools shortlisted after being asked to create, build and test a simple hydrokinetic generator which would be suitable for Scottish Waters.

The finalists will test their models at the new FloWave facility at Edinburgh University next month with the winners announced on June 4.
